Top 50 Craft Brewers in the States
On Wednesday, US based The Brewers Association – a not-for-profit trade group specialising in statistics – released its Top 50 Craft Breweries and Top 50 Overall Breweries Lists for 2011. The compilations are based on 2011 beer sales volume, so it’s great to see that on the Overall List, 36 of the 50 names are small and/or independent craft brewers. The Deep South Arrives South of Auckland
Next Month Boundary Road Brewers will be playing host to Brian “Spike” Buckowski as he takes up the position of “the Resident”. The brewmaster, and co-founder of the award-winning Terrapin Beer Company based in the Deep South – in Athens, Georgia – is keen to travel down under and get stuck into the well developed craft beer scene in NZ. more info
